The Academy of American Poets

Children's Poetry Bookshelf

Run by the Poetry Book Society, this website has a lively child-friendly section with poetry puzzles and quizzes, and the kids' own poems and poetry book reviews. The CPB is the only children's poetry book club in the world and  serves a 7-11 age range with memberships for parents, grandparents, teachers, school libraries and public libraries around the world. www.childrenspoetrybookshelf.co.uk

League of Canadian Poets

Poetry Library

Excellent library containing 80,000 volumes on the London South Bank, which covers all twentieth century poetry published in the UK and much in translation. Any UK resident can join. Scottish Poetry Library

Library focusing on contemporary poetry written in Scotland in Scots, Gaelic and English. Can borrow free in person, but 50p charge for postal borrowings. www.spl.org.uk

Sheer Poetry
